Omikron is a multinational band (Greece, Netherlands & France), whose core members are Nikolas Tsilogiannis (drums, percussion & idiophones), Alexis Drossos (soprano sax, didgeridoo & beckophone), Henk Spies (soprano sax & electronics) and Dinos Zouberis (bass, Hohner guitaret, electronics & Eagean bagpipe). Their main musical axis is free improvisational jazz with unexpected twists, from African & Gamelan-type polyrhythms to electroacoustic ambient soundscapes and the fusion of typical jazz instruments, electronics & traditional folk instruments. Each musical work created on stage or in the studio is a unique and unrepeatable automatic group compostion.
