Ba Cissoko returns with a new album "Dj?li" modernizing the Mandingo tradition in order to spread it more widely, to transgress it and truly honour it. The reinvented tradition is always at the centre of its creation, like the song "Dj?lia", the eponymous title of the album where Mandingo music meets Afrobeat. Alternating between Malinke, Wolof and Poulaar songs, Ba takes up some of the verses of his songs in French for the first time in his career, such as "C'est pas facile", to meet a new audience. Surrounded by his most loyal musicians, Ba Cissoko delivers the most accomplished album of his career. A sincere album, rich in harmonies, blending and fusion of rhythms, unmistakably marking his artistic curiosity and his international musical heritage.
