My aim, when I left my native Andalusia, was to share with others the riches of flamenco. This recording is part of that.
Through many rich encounters I have been able to choose my own path, get to know other cultures and constantly develop my art.
Poetry and music are my vehicles for expressing my own experiences and those of others, in the hope that listeners will be able to feel and identify with them.
The work presented here combines flamenco with music from other cultures, and world music. It pays tribute to the music that has influenced flamenco: Andalusian classical music, Celtic, African, Indian, Gypsy, and so on.
We are therefore joined by recognised artists, such as Juan Antonio Suarez ?Cano?, guitar, Fouad Didi, violin and vocals (Andalusian classical music), Nabankur Bhattachary, Indian tabla, Philippe Gauby, sitar, Djeli Moussa Cond?, African kora, and Edouard Coquard, drums.
The artistic and musical work presented on this album has no aspirations to impress or persuade the listener. It aims simply to deliver a message of humanity, sincerity, humility, and above all, hope, peace, love, friendship and togetherness.
