Smulyan, Gary & Frank Basile - You Are The One

Baritone saxophonists Gary Smulyan and Frank Basile reunite their powerhouse quintet for You Are The One, that again showcases the rare chemistry between two masters of the instrument. Drawing on a mix of classic repertoire and newly minted originals by both leaders, the album highlights the duos deep command of bebop language, contrapuntal writing, and the propulsive blend only two baritones can create.
