Marco Pacassoni's new album 'Life' is featuring John Patitucci & Antonio Sanchez (Marco Pacassoni vibraphone and marimba, John Patitucci double bass and electric bass, Antonio Sanchez drums). In eight tracks, (the last two are free improvisations) all his poetics are revealed, his musical world made of simple complexities, melody, intriguing harmonic progressions, irregular tempos and dance. This album breathes and it is precisely the space left for the music to breathe that is the key to understanding the entire album. The virtuosities contained in the tracks are controlled and conscious, more like butterflies in a meadow than the usual crazed flies locked in a room. John and Antonio have entered Marco's poetics on tiptoe, with a delicacy and respect for the compositions that only great musicians can have.
