A record with only five percussionists? Yes, they call themselves Quartiere Tamburi with a strong fantasy and now with their new album 'Etranger'. It all started at the beginning of the new century in the Academy of Music in Volterra, where young drummers were involved in the activities of this experimental music center. The group had a live self-production in 2005 and a dvd born from an idea of Nicola Pecorini, a well-known cinematographer. It must be said that it is precisely the live dimension that is heard on this new album.
