The Golden Age is the accomplishment of a dream pursued with dedication by Armando Trovaioli, a testimony to the last years of an extraordinary life; a creation in which the melodies of musical comedies and films composed by him become on impressive Jazz opera. The album originates from his intense and rigorous collaboration with his friend Dino Piana, another unique artist in the history of ltalian jazz for talent and personality, and with Franco Piana, who took care of the arrangements under the personal supervision of Trovajoli himself. Although published posthumously ? Armando left us in 2013 ? The Golden Age found in Fulvio Albano, director and artistic producer, in the Torino Jazz Orchestra, and in the guest soloists, Dino and Franco Piana, Terell Stafford and Scott Hamilton, his ideal interpreters. |
