20 years after his project "Zappe Zappa", rewarded by the press and Frank Zappa fans, Pierrejean Gaucher wanted to repeat this adventure around the musical universe of Erik Satie. This new album marks his return to writing with a whole new repertoire, carried by young and brilliant musicians who have been making jazz news in France for years. We've been waiting for this return of Pierrejean Gaucher, a key figure in French jazz, who brilliantly and not without humour, reappropriates the music of the iconoclast Erik Satie. Here is 'Zappe Satie', a sort of kaleidoscope of the composer's work, just as out of step with his time as Frank Zappa was.
